June 11, 2019, JICA's rice seed production and project rice seed (RSPP) of JICA collaborated with the Cambodia Rice Federation, the General Department of Agriculture of the Ministry Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries and the Department of Agriculture,  organized the Rice Seed Forum in the Meeting Hall, Hotel Alice Villa.  representatives from  farming communities and organizations to support a total of 85 people .

On 2nd September  2019 Market Promotion and Export Executive Committee holds a meeting with registered exporters and mills for quality monitoring and certification of the AQSIQ Quality System China to study possible rice export quotas to China by 2019. The meeting which focuses on the key points:
 The quality of seed is still a debatable topic in rice sector. Cambodia Rice Federation (CRF) have been working hand to hand with related sectors and organizations in order to improve the quality of seed and also finding the market for the seed producer. Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) is one of CRF’s partners that have been continuously cooperating in many such important programs in rice sector mainly on rice’s seed.

In January 2020, Cambodia export rice in the total amount of 50,450 tonnes abroad, of that, 91 per cent was fragrant rice (46,006 tonnes) and the rest (9%) was long grain white rice (4,444 tonnes) .The export in this January 2020 is decreased by 15 per cent, generating in 9,175 tonnes.

EU remains the main source of Cambodian rice exports, representing 37 per cent of the total, followed by China (33%), ASEAN (11%), and other destinations take the remainder (22%).

Press release: please do not get in panic of shortage rice supply as #COVID19 outbreak recently! CRF and the Green Trade Company of the Ministry of Commerce would like to announce that the amount of rice supply of around 400 rice millers is enough to supply till the next harvest season.

 Once again, Cambodia Rice Federation and Green Trade Company of the Ministry Commerce would like to inform that as of 16 March 2020, about 80% of paddy is harvested, accounted for 2.3 millions tonnes, which is enough for milling to supply in the overall Cambodia.

Cambodian rice export is seen to increase noticeably comparing between February with January 2020, which is increase by 35000 tonnes, generating in total amount of export 86000 Tonnes.
